Learning License Test

• At the beginning of their learning to drive, the government issues a learner's licence to the applicants.
• People who learn to drive apply for a licence when they are learning to drive since driving without one is punishable.
• They must obtain legal approval from their local Regional Transport Authority/Office to drive.
• Applicants who are 18 years or older can apply for a permanent licence once they have learned to drive.
• Obtaining a learner's licence can lead to applying for a permanent licence after 30 days.
• A learner's licence is valid for six months, and the government issues this to those aged 16 and up.
• The learning licence will include personal details like a learner's name and age, a photo, and the authority's signature.

An individual must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply for a learner's licence:

• The age of applicants should be at least 16 years old
• For learners, only vehicles with a 50CC engine capacity and non-gear transmission are allowed
• Learners must get their guardians'/parents' consent
• The holder of a learning licence must drive under the supervision of a permanent licence holder or driver.

You must complete the form and pay the learning licence test fees to obtain a learning licence. Additionally, the following documents are required to apply for a learner's permit:

You can apply either offline through the nearest RTO or online through the Sarathi website. Sarathi is the government's official website for road transport and highways. Visit the website and follow these steps:

• Step 1: To get a new driving licence, visit Sarathi Services and select 'New Driving License'.
• Step 2: Now, you can see the online driving licence application form.
• Step 3: As soon as your application is processed, you can book a test slot for your learner's licence test. Following the test, you can receive your learner's licence. The licence is valid for six months, during which you must practise driving.
• Step 4: After getting your learner's permit, you can apply for your permanent licence once you have learned and the six months have passed. However, you must be 18 to apply for a permanent licence.

• Step 1: Log on to parivahan.gov
• Step 2: Select the 'Online Services' tab present at the top of the page.
• Step 3: Select 'Driving Licence Related Services' from the drop-down menu.
• Step 4: Click on the relevant state.
• Step 5: Select 'Fee/Payments' from the redirected page.
• Step 6: Fill in the required information.
• Step 7: Go to the 'Click here to calculate fees' page.
• Step 8: Select the payment gateway.
• Step 9: Make the payment.

You can apply for a Learner's licence directly at the RTO office if you are unfamiliar with the online application process or your state Transportation Department does not offer the online application. Here are the steps for applying for a Learner's licence at the RTO; read the following steps.

Step 1: Prepare Form 2 for the application for a learner's licence with a passport photograph or Form 3 for the learner's licence application with a picture. You can download these forms online or purchase them directly from the RTO.

Step 2: Complete the application form and attach any necessary photographs. Please attach proof of age and proof of address. Submit the application form to the RTO in your locality. You can also schedule a Learner's licence test by selecting a slot or time.

Step 3: Attend the Learner's licence test facility on the date and time you have selected. Depending on the RTO, the learner's licence will either be sent to your registered address or offered after you pass the test.

Step 4: If you are taking driving lessons under the guidance of a driving school, you can get assistance from them in getting a learner's licence.

• While applying for a learner's licence, you must pay ₹ 200 for one type of vehicle.
• To apply for a Learning Licence DL, the applicants must submit the documents and application form.

• Following the above steps, the applicant can apply online or offline to the RTO and then appear for the test.
• Learner's licence applicants are required to book a slot for the Learning License Test when they apply.
• This test is an online test. You can also request an oral exam if you cannot take the online test.

Test for RTO learning licence includes vehicle rules and regulations, driver duties, precautions, required documents while driving, etc. You must choose the correct answer from three to four options on the multiple-choice test. The majority of the questions include images related to identifying road signs.

You will take your test in RTO's computer lab during your test slot. You will take the online learning licence test there. On the internet, you can find many practice tests. Before appearing for the actual exam, practice as much as you can.

One can easily pass this test with a basic understanding of the syllabus. It may be possible to reappear for the test the next day. However, some RTOs require a seven-day cooling-off period, after which the applicant can reappear.
