Working of MPFI System

This ensures equal and optimal fuel distribution to all cylinders.
Sequential Multi-Point Fuel Injection: In this type, the injectors sequentially deliver fuel; that is, each injector operates separately, and the fuel is delivered at the right moment. Precise timing is the key, which enables better and more accurate fuel delivery.
Dual-Stage Multi-Point Fuel Injection: This system pools the advantages of simultaneous and sequential injection systems. The injector uses the simultaneous system whenever there is a low engine load. It injects fuel simultaneously into all the cylinders, whereas when the engine load increases, the system switches to a sequential system to attain optimal performance.
Batched Multi-Point Fuel Injection: Also sometimes known as Semi-Sequential MPFI or group MPFI, in this type, the cylinders in the engine are grouped into smaller batches or pairs. Each group received fuel at the same time, following a predefined pattern. The ECU is the control unit that manages the flow. Compared to other types, this MPF system is more cost-effective.
Direct-Injection MPFI (GDI): With this system, there has been a significant advancement in fuel injection technology. The GDI system injects fuel directly into the combustion chamber, which is not the case with the traditional system. This technology improves fuel efficiency and emits lesser emissions.
