Driving Licence Application Process: Rajasthan

The driving licence application process in Rajasthan can be done using two methods. Online and offline. Naturally, the process to apply for a driving licence in Rajasthan online is far more convenient and accessible compared to the offline process.

Apply for Driving Licence in Rajasthan: Online

Here are the following steps for the online process to apply for driving licence in Rajasthan:

Navigate to the Parivahan website.

Go to the 'Please select the state from where the service will be taken' option.

Select 'Rajasthan' from the state list.

Fill out the application form with all the required information according to the guidelines given on the screen.

Upload all the valid documents as instructed on the website.

Upload your photograph and signature when required.

Fill out details in the 'DL TEST SLOT BOOKING 'section and choose a slot according to your preference.

Apply for Driving Licence in Rajasthan: offline

Preparation of Files

Facilitated Applications: The applicant is required to visit the facilitation centre, where an operator will assist in completing the necessary forms online. All the required documents must be attached to the printed application form provided by the Facilitation Desk.

Self Applications: The applicant is required to fill out the given forms on the Parivahan website, pay the fees and book a slot for a driving test. A printed, filled form needs to be attached to all required documents.

Verification of Files

The applicant will have to have their files physically verified by an RLA clerk. If the file is rejected, a deficiency slip is given to the applicant. The slip should contain clear reasons for rejection and guide the applicant on how it can be rectified.

Submission of Files

The applicant is required to submit the file at the fees and booking slot for the driving test counter if the fees still need to be paid or a slot is booked.

Driving Test

The applicant is required to appear for the driving test at the test centre after drawing their slot. Results for the test are given at the same time.

The applicant will be tested on criteria mentioned in the details of the application documents.

If the applicant fails to clear the test, they are required to book the slot again online or at the counter and reappear for the test until they clear.

Delivery of the Licence

Once the applicant passes the driving test, the permanent driving licence will be sent through a speed post.
