Features of PMMVY Scheme for Pregnant Women in India
PM Yojana for pregnant ladies includes these salient features that beneficiaries should be aware of.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women are to be provided with monetary benefits of ₹5,000 in three instalments. It is provided for the family’s first live birth of a child. Moreover, they must meet specific requirements related to maternal and child health.
Beneficiaries must register with the nearest Anganwadi Center (AWC) of the Department of Women and Child Development.
An Aadhar and account-based DBT phenomenon, PMMVY remittance to beneficiaries, is handled through a web-based MIS software application that is centrally installed and connected to the PFMS portal.
If the beneficiary applicant meets all the eligibility criteria, they can apply for the program within 730 days of the end of their last period. The LMP recorded on the MCP card will indicate the date of pregnancy.
If the beneficiary wants to submit a claim for the third payment instalment under the system but the LMP date is not shown on the MCP card, the claim should be made within 460 days after childbirth; otherwise, no claim will be considered.
After institutional delivery, the beneficiary will receive the remaining incentive as per authorised standards toward the Janani Suraksha Yojana maternity benefit, up to a maximum of ₹6,000.

Nutritional Benefits
Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers must take care of themselves and consume the necessary vitamins and minerals for their bodies and their babies. The World Health Organisation advises that babies should only be breastfed for the first six months of their lives. This can only be ensured when mothers consume enough nutritious food.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, every pregnant woman is entitled to get free meals during her pregnancy and for six months after childbirth through Anganwadi. This ensures sufficient nutrition and a healthy diet for pregnant women and nursing mothers.

How to Apply for PMMVY Govt. Schemes for Pregnant Ladies in India?
There are two ways pregnant ladies can apply for Pradhan Mantri Yojana. These are online and offline methods.
Online Method To Apply For PMMVY
Step 1 Go to Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana website.
Step 2 If you are using login credentials for the first time, the portal will instruct you to change your password. After changing the password, you will be taken to the Beneficiary list.
Step 3 To add a new beneficiary, click on “New Beneficiary.” Then, you will be asked to present any of the documents listed on-site.
Step 4 Next, complete the PMMVY registration by filling in the beneficiary's requested details. These include their name, category, ID proof number, pregnancy registration date, registration date under PMMVY, etc.
Step 5 Enter the bank account details of the account in which you will be receiving installments.
Step 6 The beneficiary can get the next installments by submitting the documents.
Offline Method To Apply For PMMVY
Step 1 You need to visit your nearest Anganwadi Center or government-approved health facility that implements PMMVY.
Step 2 Obtain the application from the Anganwadi Center.
Step 3 Complete the application form with the requested details, such as name, husband’s information, mobile number, LMP date, bank details, etc.
Step 4 Apply to a supervisor, who will verify all the provided information.
Step 5 Once the verification is completed, you will receive an acknowledgement letter from an Anganwadi Worker (AWW), Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife or Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA). This letter confirms that your PMMVY registration is complete.

Documents Required For PMMVY Pregnant Women Govt. Schemes
Here are the documents required to get the benefits of PPVY Yojana and get installments.
Documents for the First Installment:** a copy of the MCP card, a completed Form 1A, a copy of the bank or post office account statement and a copy of the identity card. The documents must be submitted within 150 days of the last menstruation date.
Documents for the Second Installment:** The application requires a copy of the MCP card and a completed Form 1B. These documents must be submitted within 180 days of the latest measurement day.
Documents for the Third Installment:** MCP card copy, Aadhar card copy, copy of child’s birth certificate after registration and completed application Form 1C.
How To Check Status of Pradhan Mantri Yojana For Pregnant Ladies?
Visit the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana website and log in using authorised credentials.
Keep the PMMVY scheme detail card to check the beneficiary status.
An alternate method is to use the beneficiary’s personal identification number, which includes an Aadhar card or PAN card. This information can be used to check installment payments, claims, and other details.
How to Download a PMMVY Scheme Card Online?
There is no need to download the PMMVY scheme card. The beneficiary can use their unique ID mentioned on the MCP card. The MCP card records all the details of check-ups related to pregnancy. Families can also use this card to educate themselves about institutional deliveries. Moreover, the card serves as proof of identification.
The MCP card contains several positive images. These images help mothers and families stay informed about nutritional needs and important pregnancy milestones.

The scheme's beneficiary will receive monetary benefits until the woman's pregnancy is active.
