China Visa Cost for Indian: Cancellation Fees and Overstay Fines

Once you have paid the full China visa fee, then there is no refund on cancellation of the visa application. Moreover, if an individual overstays their visit in China they will be warned and have to pay a fine. The fine is usually CNY500 per day but does not exceed CNY10,000.

However, if individuals overstay their visit for a significant time, like a month, then there can be severe repercussions being put in a detention centre for 5 to 15 days. They may even be black-listed, and it can affect their chances of getting a re-entry permit to China.
