The city of Dubai is a blend of modern luxury and culture-rich traditions, attracting millions of tourists each year[1]. To accommodate this huge influx of visitors, the Government of Dubai has worked tirelessly to streamline its visa process.
One way they have done so is by digitising their application processes and allowing prospective visitors to apply and pay for their Dubai visa application fees online. Hence, if you plan to visit Dubai in the coming months, read on to find out your visa fees for Dubai!
Do Indian Travellers Need a Dubai Visa?
Yes, India is not included under the list of visa-free countries for Dubai or the UAE. Hence, Indian nationals must hold a pre-approved valid Dubai visa to visit Dubai for tourism, work/business, study or to join family members residing there.
In other words, you must apply for a Dubai visa when in India, get it approved and only then can you proceed to travel to Dubai.
The visa application process can be done online or offline through a sponsor and will require you to pay specific visa fees for Dubai, depending on your visa type.
To be eligible for a Dubai visa, you will need an Indian passport (valid for up to 6 months from the date of arrival), a clean criminal record, a return or onward ticket and no prior visa violations.
Does Dubai Offer Visa-On-Arrival for Indians?
No, Dubai does not offer visa-on-arrival for Indian nationals. If you are a citizen of Indian, you must hold a pre-approved visa before travelling to Dubai.
However, Indian citizens will be eligible for visa-on-arrival services if they hold:
A diplomatic or service passport from India.
Permanent residency, residency permit or a green card in the United States of America, the United Kingdom or any European Union country.
