Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan Phase II
The Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers welfare has launched Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan Phase 2 in 117 aspirational districts of the country. The Program is focused on giving a boost to agriculture and allied activities in these aspirational districts. Among the districts where Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited is implementing Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana in Rabi 2018-19 ,Sirohi district of Rajasthan has been selected as one of the aspirational district under KKA2 ( Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan Phase 2).
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is one of the flagship schemes of Government of India. It provides comprehensive crop insurance to the farmers against crop yield losses caused due to various natural calamities.
TATA AIG General Insurance Company Limited in association with the Government initiative Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan is focused on creating awareness about Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and educating the farmers on the benefits of crop insurance in safeguarding them from unforeseen crop losses in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan.
The main objective of the campaign is to improvise the information asymmetry in regard to the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana among farmers.
The farmers are informed about the financial support that will be provided under PMFBY for suffering crop loss / damage arising out of unforeseen events. All farmers including share-coppers and tenant farmers growing the notified crops in the notified area are eligible for the coverage.

Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited conducted focused IEC/BCC activities in Sirohi , Rajasthan to bring about increased awareness about the benefits of PMFBY and make sure that no farmer is bereft of its benefits.
Activities were conducted which included Publicity on wheels with Public announcements systems installed in the moving vehicle, door to door campaigning, information brochure distribution , focused group discussions with Farmers, Bankers, CSC representatives, etc. Workshops are being conducted in Gram panchayat, Panchayat Samiti, Tehsil Agriculture offices wherein a lot of focus is also being done on creating awareness among women farmers. Posters and banners have been put in all prime locations across the district.
