Apply For a Passport Without the Birth Certificate

Under amendments to the policy regarding passports published in December 2016, an individual no longer needs to provide a birth certificate to apply for a passport. **5. Service Record **

Those employed by the government with a copy of either their Pay Pension Order or their Service Record Extract can apply for a passport (applicable to retired employees). 6. Card for Identifying Voters

The Election Picture Identity Card (EPIC), which the Election Commission of India issues, has also been included in the list of acceptable documents that one can utilise in applying for a passport. **7. Driving License (DL) **
