How to Make the Payment for Your Passport
Payment of Passport Fees Via the Internet: Applicants have the following options for making an online payment to cover the necessary fees
SBI Wallet payment
Internet Banking through SBI Bank challan, available at State Bank of India and other banks in India
Credit Card /debit card (MasterCard and Visa only)
To clarify, only the standard fee must be paid online when applying for a Tatkal number. Thank you for your attention. If your Tatkal application is approved, you must pay the remaining cash at the PSK or passport office.
Passport Appointment scheduling and payments must be completed online at Seva Kendras (PSKs). All debit and credit card transactions are subject to a fee of 1.5 per cent plus the applicable tax. This rule does not apply to SBI in addition to other banks.
For an online payment to be considered valid, an application must be submitted within one year of the initial appointment date. If you succeed, the payment will be considered recovered, and you will be required to submit a new payment. At Citizen Service Centers, payments can be made with a credit or debit card (CSCs).
Online Calculator for Passport Fees
On the website of the CPV (Consular, Passport, Visa) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, there is a tool called a passport fee calculator tool that can calculate the cost of applying for various types of passports. The cost of obtaining a passport can vary significantly depending on the kind of passport that is desired and whether it is acquired through the Tatkal Scheme.
To use the calculator, you will need to select the appropriate option from among the following list of fields

2. Fresh Reissue (If Reissue) Justification for the Reissue:

3. Applicants Whose Passports Were Lost or Damaged Age:
- Younger than 15 years at the most
- between the ages of 15 and 18 years old
- 18 years of age and older
4. The number of pages in the booklet:
- 36 pages
- 60 pages
5. Essential Formulation:
- Tatkal
- Normal

Calculator for the Cost of the Surrender Certificate
Calculating the surrender certificate fees for the following is also made easier by the tool:
- Foreign nationality acquired before 1 June 2010
- Foreign nationality acquired on or after 1 June 2010
- The standard fee for the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is Rs.500
Important details to keep in mind concerning the payment of passport fees
If the passport appointment fee has been paid, but the appointment itself still needs to be scheduled, no reimbursement will be given.
The Regional Passport Officer (RPO) is responsible for issuing refunds for excess payments if multiple payments for the duplicate passport fee have been made. Therefore, it is necessary to bring the online application receipt to the PSK with the passport application. The online application receipt contains the Application Reference Number (ARN).
Applicants who make their payments online must choose to Print the Application Receipt to obtain their ARN and receipt. Payments made using challan are not subject to any fees levied by the bank.
Text Message Services
Applicants can subscribe to the SMS Services for a one-time payment of forty rupees (Rs.). The SMS service will remind you of upcoming appointments and regularly update you.
