Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Insurance

Recently, in the last few years, there has been a steady rise in consumer sentiment in the Indian automobile market. The mass is moving towards the big and bulky SUVs. However, the SUVs have been in the market for more than a decade, and there have been tough cars like the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.

When it comes to SUVs, the Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi’s expertise is next to none. Mitsubishi is a revered name in the off-road car segment. So, when it launched the Pajero Sport in 2012, all eyes were turned to it.

Sadly, this legendary SUV was discontinued in India in 2019 with fans left speculating about the launch of a new facelift model. However, until the new launch is a reality, you can only buy it in the second-hand car market. In that case, you will have to be careful about certain things like the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Insurance.

As you already know, you must have motor insurance to ply on Indian roads. But it becomes all the more important for premium cars like the Pajero Sport. If you take it for a fun ride and it gets a little too bumpy, repairing it can burn a hole in your wallet.

Therefore, make sure the insurance company you choose offers a hassle-free car insurance claim process. Tata AIG is one such insurance company with a long-standing image of trust.

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Insurance Renewal/Purchase via Tata AIG

If you are planning to drive your car in India, which is probably going to be the case, you must have valid insurance. If the cops nab you driving without a valid vehicle insurance, you may have to pay up to ₹4,000 as a penalty. In the worst case, you may find yourself behind the bars for 3 months.

Apart from this legal mandate, having a comprehensive Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Insurance policy can save you some money in case of repairs after any accident or mishap.

Here is the easiest way of purchasing a new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport insurance. —

  • Go to Tata AIG’s Car Insurance page, and enter the registration number of your car.

  • To buy a new policy, click on the “Get Price” button. If you want to renew your existing car insurance, click on the “Renew” button.

  • Next, fill up an online Mitsubishi Pajero Sport car insurance purchase form by entering the required details — your name and contact details, etc.

  • In the next step, you will find a few IDV suggestions, and you have to choose any of the options. This will be the maximum amount that Tata AIG is liable to pay in the case of a total loss of your insured Pajero Sport.

  • Declare your Claim Status - whether you have made a claim during the previous policy year.

  • If you have not made any claim during the last year, you will be eligible for a No Claim Bonus discount on the premium amount.

  • Lastly, if you want to extend your insurance coverage, choose from the list of add-on covers.

  • Once you have completed all the steps, click the “Submit” button to see your Pajero Sport car insurance price. (see note below)

  • If you want to make adjustments to your final premium amount, you can change the IDV details and add-ons. Choosing a lower IDV and fewer add-ons can bring down the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport insurance cost. However, it will limit the coverage as well.

  • After you are satisfied with the premium quote, you may pay the premium amount online via credit cards/debit cards/net banking/UPI/mobile wallets.

The Mitsubishi car insurance renewal will only be available for the existing Tata AIG policy.

Note: Once you make the payment successfully, we will issue your Mitsubishi Pajero Sport insurance policy within a few minutes and send a soft copy of your policy to your registered e-mail address and a hard copy to your residential address.

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Insurance Price – Your Premium Amount

Your Mitsubishi Pajero Sport insurance price may be a little higher than other cars because the Pajero sport comes to India as a CKD unit and it is assembled by Hindustan Motors. Besides, the vehicle insurance price depends on certain factors, including the type of policy you want to purchase. At Tata AIG, we offer three types of motor insurance policies —

  1. Third-party motor insurance policy

  2. Standalone own damage (OD) motor insurance policy

  3. Comprehensive motor insurance policy

Third-party motor insurance policy is mandatory by law and provides coverage for unforeseen third-party liabilities that may arise due to an accident involving your car. While the third-party insurance covers the third-party liability, standalone own damage (OD) motor insurance policy covers only the damages sustained by your car. Now, if you want to have insurance that offers both the features — third-party liability as well as own-damage cover — choose comprehensive motor insurance.

So, how much should you pay for your Mitsubishi Pajero Sport insurance?

For third-party motor insurance policies, the premium is decided by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). They also regulate and revise the premium annually.

On the other hand, the premium for standalone OD cover and comprehensive insurance cover is decided by the insurer. The price depends on various factors like the type of the car and its size, the IDV, its registration city, the age of your car, and the motor insurance riders (if you have selected any).
