Honda Civic Insurance Overview

The Honda Civic is a global brand that has many admirers in India. The current 10th-generation Civic was launched in 2019 and is available in a sporty and elegant avatar. Every aspect of the car spells luxury, right from its premium build quality to its plush interiors to its refined and smooth engine.

There are five variants of the Honda Civic, with prices starting at Rs 21.16 lakh and going up to Rs 26.94 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). This D-segment sedan is available in five colours - Radiant Red, Modern Steel, Lunar Silver, Platinum White Pearl, and Golden Brown, all in a metallic finish.

Have an epic drive with the Honda Civic

Even though Civic has a long legacy, there had not been any updates to the Civic in the Indian markets since 2013. The tenth iteration that came after six long years does not disappoint.

The Civic has a contemporary look with a well-balanced design. It has a coupe-like swooping roofline, compact boot segment, and a short overhang. The signature Honda grille, sparkling LED DRLs, and 17-inch alloy wheels complement the bold and aggressive design.

The cabin is top-notch, in keeping with Honda standards. An ergonomic design makes the controls handy and accessible. The new sporty instrument cluster and steering-mounted controls are another plus. The Civic boasts of a 7-inch touch infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB, and HDMI connectivity. It has an 8-speaker system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Civic also makes for a great chauffeur-driven car. The rear bench very is comfortable and offers more than adequate knee room, rear AC vents, and collapsible armrests. The 430-litre boot, however, cannot take a lot of luggage.

Under the hood, the petrol Civic has a 4-cylinder 1799cc i-VTEC engine that delivers 140 bhp @ 6500 rpm. The diesel variant has a 4-cylinder 1597cc i-DTEC engine that puts out 118 bhp @ 4000 rpm. The CVT petrol variants give a mileage of 16.5 kmpl, while the manual diesel options deliver an impressive 23.9 kmpl.

Registration charges for Honda Civic

To register your new Honda Civic, you will have to pay a one-time registration fee to your local Regional Transport Office (RTO). The fee differs according to the state and is calculated based on the IDV of the vehicle and the fuel type. For the premium Honda Civic, it ranges between 8% and 21% for petrol as well as for diesel variants. GST and cess may be charged separately depending on state laws.

Before you finalise the sale, make it a point to ask your dealer about the registration charges applicable to your vehicle after considering local laws and taxes.
