Mahindra TUV 300 Car Insurance

The Mahindra TUV 300 is a compact SUV known for its rugged and muscular exterior design, spacious interiors, and powerful performance. It features a boxy design with a high ground clearance, which makes it suitable for rough roads and off-road adventures. The car can seat up to seven people with the help of a foldable jump seat at the rear. In addition, the Mahindra TUV 300 has many safety features, including dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

Despite the many notable features and upgrades of the TUV 300, the vehicle was discontinued in India. However, you can get second-hand variants of the TUV 300 at used-car dealerships. If you already have the TUV 300, you must know that having or renewing car insurance is essential to securing it to the best standards.

In India, three types of four-wheeler insurance are available to vehicle owners - Third-Party Liability Insurance, Standalone Own Damage Insurance, and Comprehensive Insurance. Third-Party Liability Insurance is mandatory and covers only third-party damages. Standalone Own Damage Insurance covers only the damages caused to the insured vehicle, such as theft, fire, or accidents. Comprehensive insurance is the most extensive type of car insurance, covering third-party damages and damages to the insured vehicle.

At Tata AIG, we offer these car insurance policies at an affordable rate. In addition, you can customize it based on your needs by including the add-on riders. Furthermore, you can use our car insurance premium calculator online to determine a suitable and affordable product for all your financial needs.

Mahindra Tuv 300 Insurance Price – Your Premium Amount

To avail of the benefits of any car insurance policy, you have to pay regular sums of money called premiums. The Mahindra car insurance cost will vary for a Mahindra car insurance renewal or a new Mahindra car insurance policy.

The factors listed below will determine your Mahindra car insurance cost:

  • The Insured Declared Value (IDV) or current market value of your TUV 300. For instance, if the current sale value of the TUV 300 is ₹10 lakhs. If you make a car insurance claim in two years and the IDV is ₹7 lakhs, you will receive the said amount during claim settlement.

  • The age, make, and the variant of your TUV 300. The more expensive and most recent version of the Mahindra car will contribute to higher premiums and vice versa. The engine or cubic capacity (cc) of your TUV 300 also affects premium prices. The higher the engine capacity, the higher the premiums.

  • The type of Mahindra car insurance policy chosen – comprehensive, standalone (own-damage), or third party.

  • Your age, your driving record, and the location of the car’s purchase and use.

  • Any Tata AIG NCB benefits (up to 50%) or premium discounts (up to 75%) for buying Mahindra car insurance online.

  • Adding safety devices or making expensive modifications to your TUV 300. Safety devices can lower the Mahindra car insurance online cost, and expensive modifications can increase it.

Why did the Mahindra TUV 300 get discontinued?

    iconDown

The TUV 300 was discontinued in 2020. Despite its features, the vehicle did not see stellar sales among the public. Another reason for its discontinuation was that most of the variants had a BS-4 engine. Some of its more recent variants have a BS6 engine in compliance with motor vehicle and environmental laws.

As of now, there are talks around the re-launch of an updated and facelifted version of the TUV 300 this year, but Mahindra itself hasn’t confirmed anything. However, the older variants are available at second-hand and used car dealerships.

How to make a reimbursement car insurance claim?

    iconDown

There are two ways to make a car insurance claim – a cashless claim or a reimbursement claim. A cashless claim is when the insurer directly settles the car insurance claim bills for you while your vehicle is at repair in the insurer’s network garage.

In a reimbursement claim, you can get your car repaired at a garage of your choice, not necessarily the insurer’s network garage. You settle the payments yourself. Once the car gets repaired, you send the receipts/ bills to the insurer. They will reimburse the said amount and settle the car insurance claim.

How long does it take to settle a car insurance claim?

    iconDown

A car insurance claim can be settled in a few days to a few weeks. Generally, it can be settled in 14 days. However, it will depend on the complexity and the types of damages.
