See How Travellers Rely on TATA AIG Travel Insurance
Travelling is always fun, but unexpected things can spoil your travel plans too. During my recent US trip, I developed a throat infection that needed medical attention.
Worried, I contacted TATA AIG immediately. To my surprise, they offered a quick and efficient service. They were extremely helpful.
They guided me through the entire process and made the claim settlement smooth and efficient. They were very fast and regularly followed up with me to make the claim settlement faster. I found that TATA AIG really cares about its customers.
The benefits of the plan and its services impressed me. I got the much-needed help at the most vulnerable time. The process was transparent and reliable, making me feel secure all the time. The TATA AIG team was fantastic. I recommend TATA AIG travel insurance to everyone who is travelling to a foreign land. It helps to have peace of mind in times of uncertainty.

“TATA AIG Travel Insurance exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it!” My work demands travelling extensively. I also love to explore foreign destinations on family vacations. I have been to nearly 73 countries, and with the huge number, I am well aware of how expensive medical care can be abroad. That makes having a TATA AIG travel insurance a must for me.
I travel almost every month. Even though I prioritise fitness as a lifestyle, I developed terrible back pain on my last Singapore trip. It was very sudden and painful. The treatment was extremely expensive.
My experience with TATA AIG was great. The claim for the back pain treatment was very straightforward and hassle-free. It was not my first claim with TATA AIG. I had gone through the same process when in Dubai last year for various medical issues. And it was equally smooth. The doctors took care of the treatment, and TATA AIG took care of the expenses.
I highly recommend TATA AIG for everyone. With my experience, I completely trust the service. TATA AIG is the perfect choice if you are seeking a reliable insurance partner.
“Stress-free travel with TATA AIG’s Travel Guard Insurance!”
In February 2024, my wife and I planned a trip to the US. We went to Seattle. When we landed there, we were surprised to see that our bags were not on the belt. When we connected with the airlines, they informed us that our luggage was not lost but only misplaced.
So, the next morning, to battle the biting cold of Seattle, we went to a store and bought some essential clothes. We then got in touch with TATA AIG. They were very prompt in responding to our emails and offered all the necessary information and assurance.
On our return to Bangalore, we got in touch with TATA AIG and started the claim process without much hassle and paperwork. They helped me settle the claim without any follow-ups and just within a few days.
I have had a great experience with TATA AIG Travel Insurance and recommend it for their excellent customer support. With TATA AIG, you can make your travel more relaxed and secure.

Older travellers typically face higher premiums due to greater age-related health risks.

The type of travel insurance policy you choose, whether individual, student, family, or senior citizen travel insurance policy, directly impacts the premium.
Sum Insured
Plans with higher coverage limits and comprehensive benefits increase the premium amount.
Health Condition
Travellers with pre-existing illnesses may have to pay a higher premium due to increased chances of medical claims.

Features like coverage for adventure sports or cruise inconvenience are available as optional add-ons. Choosing these add-ons will increase the overall premium.

Debunking The Myths About Travel Insurance
"Travel insurance only covers trip cancellations."
It also covers medical emergencies, lost and delayed luggage, trip delays, flight cancellations, bounced bookings, and more.
"I don’t need travel insurance for short trips and domestic travel."
Unexpected events can arise even in short trips. Domestic travel insurance gives the protection you need.
“Existing health insurance covers me abroad.”
Health insurance plans offer global coverage for planned hospitalisations and treatment. Only a travel insurance policy can cover treatment expenses overseas during your trip.
“Travel insurance covers all unforeseen events.”
Travel insurance plans have exclusions. Understanding them is crucial to avoiding claim rejections and financial burdens.
“I don't need travel insurance if I'm healthy.”
Unexpected illnesses and accidents can happen to anyone. Moreover, a travel insurance policy also covers loss of passport, loss of cash, and other unexpected situations.
Understanding Travel Insurance Terminology
Premium
It is the sum of money that an insured individual must pay to the insurance company in exchange for the insurance policy.
Reimbursement
The amount of money that an insurance company will pay you for any covered incident, such as medical emergencies, baggage loss or trip cancellation.
Policyholder
The person who buys the insurance policy and pays the premium.
Insured
The person covered under the policy.
Policyholder
The policyholder, often known as the policy owner, is the individual who purchases the insurance policy and pays the premiums. The insured may or may not be the policy owner. For example, Kritika is free to purchase an insurance policy for her husband, Swapnil; in such an instance, Kritika is the policyholder, and her husband is the insured party, meaning he's the only one who would get benefits under the terms of the policy.
Foreseeable Event
It is one that was reasonably anticipated prior to the purchase of the plan. When it is feasible for persons heading to a region to be aware of an occurrence, it becomes predictable. For example, if the airline you're travelling with declares a strike, the event becomes predictable after they make the announcement.
Physician
A person who is licensed as a medical doctor by the jurisdiction in which he or she resides. They must be practising within the extent of their licence for the service or treatment provided and cannot be you, a travelling companion, or a family member.
Trip Cost
It refers to the costs of your travel arrangements that you paid before leaving on your trip and would be lost if your trip were cancelled. This covers flights, cruises, lodgings, excursions, entertainment and other fees that you may incur if you are unable to travel.
Maximum Policy Coverage
The maximum amount of compensation that will be paid for expenditures covered by a policy.
