No Tinted Window Glasses - No vehicle is allowed to have tinted covers on their windows. This is a significant traffic rule in Gurugram, and the traffic police are very particular about this regulation and require every vehicle to show at least 70% window visibility into the vehicle.

Proper Vehicle Number plates - All vehicle number plates need to be in proper condition at all times with proper compliance with the laws. This includes the visibility of each element on the number plate, the availability of all necessary numbers and alphabets, etc.

With this new-age technology, all traffic violations are monitored thoroughly, and the issuance facility of this system makes it easy to update the drivers about the different violations by notifying them directly via emails and text messages.

Moreover, each e-challan is prepared using all the necessary information regarding any violation, from the place and time of violation to the payment methods. This allows maximum convenience to make the due payment within 60 days from the date of challan issuance.

Online Method: Using the Parivahan Portal

• Go to the official Parivahan website.

• Locate the “Online Services” option from the top bar and select “e-challan” from the drop-down menu.

• Now, on the new webpage, select the “Pay Online” option from the top right corner.

• Enter your challan number. You can also choose to log in using your vehicle number or driving licence number.

• Once you enter the required information, click to add the captcha code accurately.

• Then, select the “Get Detail” option under it to proceed.

• Your challan(s) will appear on the screen. Select the one you wish to pay for and make the payment using one of the digital payment methods available.

• Upon completion, do not forget to download the payment receipt.

Offline Method: Paying Vehicle Challan in Gurgaon

• To make the payment against a vehicle challan in Gurgaon offline, you can visit the nearest traffic police station. All you need to do is carry your challan document along with vehicle documents and make the fine payment in cash to clear it immediately.

• Another way to make challan payments offline is by visiting any E-Mitra Kiosk in the city.

• You can also go to a traffic police officer on the road who is carrying an e-challan machine to make the payment offline on the spot. For this, you need to provide the officer with the relevant information regarding your challan and then make the due payment in cash to get the payment receipt.

• A demand draft or cheque can also be sent to the Gurgaon Traffic Police Headquarters through a courier carrying the challan document with it.
