Driving Test Procedure In Bihar

An individual with a registered learner’s licence can apply for a permanent driving licence after 30 days from the date of issue of the learner’s licence. To get a driving licence, you need to clear a basic test about the road signs and traffic rules. The testing procedure for the issuance of a DL can be divided into two segments:

Phase 1 - Ground Test

The RTO will issue a driving licence only if the test moderators feel that you have adequate control over the vehicle. The officer will ask you to drive your vehicle, outlining certain shapes drawn on the road. Two-wheelers are typically asked to drive along patterns like “8” or “T”. On the other hand, for four-wheelers, the pattern is like an “H” or a “T.”

Phase 2 - Road Test

Driving on an empty road with the trainer constantly monitoring is completely different compared to driving on a busy street with the examiner beside you. The examiner looks at how you shift gears, control speed, and comply with traffic rules. Based on your performance, he will determine if the RTO will give you a driving licence or not.

If you clear the test, then you will receive the driving licence at your registered address. If you fail, then you can apply for a test again.

Motor Insurance in Bihar

The Motor Vehicles Act also mandates all vehicles to have third-party insurance for 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers. These policies offer financial protection from damages caused to a third-party person or property due to an accident involving the insured vehicle.

However, these policies do not cover damages to the insured vehicle. Hence, many people opt for a comprehensive policy that covers damages to the insured vehicle along with a third-party liability cover. You can buy four-wheeler and two wheeler insurance online for a hassle-free experience and choose the policy as per your needs.

Before buying a policy, it is important to consider the potential use of your bike and your budget to compare two wheeler insurance and four-wheeler insurance plans and find the perfect protection for your vehicle.

Every time you take your vehicle out, make sure that you have either the physical copy or the digital version of these documents with you.
