Driving Test Procedure in Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, you need to get a learner’s licence before you can apply for a driving licence. The learner licence is issued if you clear the exam on road signs and traffic rules. Once this is done, you are expected to learn and practice driving with an experienced driver.
After 30 days of getting the learner licence, you are eligible to apply for a driving licence. To get the licence, you must clear the driving test, which is divided into two segments:
Phase 1 - Ground Test
Before issuing a driving licence, the authorities want to assess if you have control over the vehicle and can navigate with ease. Hence, two-wheeler owners are asked to trace the outline of a shape like an “8” or a “T”. The examiner will observe you closely to assess the extent of control over the vehicle.
Phase 2 - Road Test
Once the examiner is convinced that you have control over the vehicle, he would want to assess your presence of mind in general traffic. Hence, you will be required to drive on a busy street while maintaining control over the vehicle.
On clearing the test, you can expect the licence to arrive within a few days.
