Maruti Brezza Car Insurance

For many buyers, the Maruti Brezza is their first step to owning an SUV after owning a hatchback such as the Swift or Baleno. Its higher seating position, bold design and Maruti’s familiar service network make it an easy choice for everyday driving. Most owners use it for commutes and weekend highway runs, and many opt for the CNG variant to manage fuel costs on daily drives.

The mix of stop-start traffic, tight parking and longer trips brings real exposure to dents, scrapes and breakdowns far from home. TATA AIG's Brezza insurance is built for this everyday reliance, offering strong coverage with quick cashless claims. This makes dealing with the unexpected a lot easier.

How to Buy & Renew Maruti Brezza Car Insurance Online

How to Buy

  1. Scroll to the top of the page, enter your Brezza’s registration number and select ‘Get Price’.
  2. Select the four-wheeler insurance cover that suits your requirements.
  3. Check your coverage details, add any applicable add-ons and check the Brezza insurance price.
  4. Complete the payment to purchase your Maruti Brezza insurance policy.
  5. Alternatively, you can buy your policy through the TATA AIG mobile app by clicking on ‘Buy Policy’.

Essential Tip: You do not need to buy car insurance from the dealer when purchasing a new or used Maruti Brezza.

How to Renew

  1. Go to the top of this page and select ‘Renew your existing TATA AIG car policy’.
  2. Provide your Brezza’s registration number or policy number.
  3. Review your renewal premium and applicable No Claim Bonus (NCB).
  4. If required, upgrade your policy or choose relevant add-ons for your renewed coverage.
  5. Complete the payment online to renew your policy. You can also renew your policy through the TATA AIG mobile app.

Note: If your policy has expired and you are past the 90-day grace period, you may need an inspection to renew. Driving without insurance can have serious financial and legal consequences. With TATA AIG, you can easily complete a car insurance check.

Why Insure Your Maruti Brezza?

Third-Party Coverage is a Legal Requirement

As with every car, your Brezza insurance cost per year is determined by the IRDAI in compliance with the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Driving uninsured could lead to fines and penalties like -

  • ₹2,000 for a first offence, or up to three months' imprisonment, or both.
  • ₹4,000 for repeat offences, or up to three months' imprisonment, or both.

Plus, without insurance, you would have to bear the full compensation cost if you accidentally damage someone else's property, vehicle or injure someone with your Brezza, on top of these fines & penalties. You can meet this requirement with a standalone third-party policy or a comprehensive plan.

No-Surprise Repair Bills

As a compact SUV built for daily city driving and highway trips alike, your Brezza may get damaged from parking dents, minor collisions, and scrapes in traffic.

To put this into perspective, India recorded more than 5.13 lakh road accidents in 2025, highlighting the risks motorists face on Indian roads.

Moreover, SUV body panels and bumpers cost more to repair than a hatchback's, and a single accident can easily run ₹40,000–₹1,00,000. Maruti Brezza insurance covers these unpredictable expenses.

Access Authorised Maruti Service Centres in Our Network

Maruti is known for its excellent after-sales service with its 6,000+ touchpoints. If you chose the Brezza for an easy ownership experience, your insurance should not complicate it.

To ensure you get easy access for repairs, we include authorised Maruti service centres as part of our extensive network of 6300+ cashless garages. We've streamlined the claims process with our garage network to ensure quick repairs with genuine parts.

Covers Fire, Natural & Man-Made Disasters

Accidents aren't the only way your Brezza could be damaged. Heavy rain and flooding can damage the car’s body, while storms and cyclones can cause falling branches or debris to damage the car. A comprehensive car insurance policy takes care of these situations by helping pay for your repair costs. You cannot control the weather or what falls on your Brezza, but you can control how ready you are to deal with it.

Covers Theft & Total Loss

Your Brezza can be stolen from home, roadside parking, office lots, or while travelling. With a price ranging between ₹7.39–₹11.70 lakh, replacing it is not a small expense. Similarly, if your Brezza is severely damaged in an accident and declared a total loss, your insurance can compensate you up to its Insured Declared Value (IDV). Since replacing a Brezza can be expensive, consider getting the Return to Invoice (RTI) cover. It offers additional protection against the gap between IDV and the vehicle's on-road price.

Which Maruti Brezza Car Insurance Policy Do I Get?

Car Insurance Policy Types We Offer

Comprehensive Car Insurance - Best Overall Fit

Also known as first-party insurance, this is the cover that has your back both ways; it takes care of third-party liabilities and protects your own car too, so you are never stuck choosing between the two.

Key Highlights

  • Covers both third-party liabilities and own-damage risks.
  • Choose from 8+ add-ons, including Engine Secure and RTI.

Buy Comprehensive Car Insurance

Third-Party Car Insurance - Best for low-value/older Maruti Brezza

If your Brezza is an older second car that you use mainly for occasional family outings or short trips, third-party insurance can help you stay legally covered. This is also the cheapest policy you can get, since Brezza third-party insurance prices are set by IRDAI and are uniform across all insurers.

Key Highlights

  • Covers only third-party injury and death (no upper limit) and property damage (up to ₹7.5 lakh).
  • Standardised premiums set by IRDAI.
  • Does not cover damage to your own Brezza.

Standalone Own-Damage Car Insurance - Useful in specific situations

If you already have third-party cover, this covers the rest. Standalone own-damage car insurance protects your own Brezza without you paying twice for what you already have.

Key Highlights

  • Covers eligible accidental damage, theft, and damage due to fire and natural disasters.
  • Customisable with optional add-ons.

For example, engine damage from attempting to start a waterlogged car (hydrostatic lock) may not be covered under the standard policy. However, the TATA AIG Engine Secure add-on can cover engine and gearbox damage caused by water ingress.
War and War-like Events Loss or damage to your car arising from war or similar events, or ionising radiation is excluded.
Loss/Damage Outside India Coverage is valid within India. You can also extend your coverage to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, Pakistan or Bangladesh by opting for the geographical extension at an additional premium.

Maruti Brezza Car Insurance Add-On Covers Worth Buying

Instead of choosing every available option, pick covers that address your driving habits and the risks you are most likely to face. Only choose add-ons you need, since they can increase your overall own damage or Brezza first-party insurance price.

Best General Use Add-ons:

  • Depreciation Reimbursement: It waives the depreciation cut on plastic, fibre and metal parts, so you get the full repair cost instead of a reduced payout. It’s especially useful for new Brezza cars, where keeping repair costs covered can help protect the car’s value.

  • Roadside Assistance (RSA): It covers towing, jump-starts and flat tyre help during breakdowns. It's worth adding if you often drive on highways, take long trips, drive alone or at night, or head into areas where mechanics are hard to find.

  • NCB Protection: You can make a claim without losing your accumulated No Claim Bonus at renewal, which helps if you've built up a high NCB and want to keep your premium low.

  • Return to Invoice (RTI): Best suited to newer Brezzas, this cover can reimburse the on-road price of your car in case of theft or total loss.

For Specific Perils:

  • Engine Secure: It covers water-ingress damage to the engine and gearbox, making it essential if you drive your Brezza in flood-prone or heavy-monsoon areas.

  • Consumables Cover: You get coverage for the high-quality consumable items in your Maruti Brezza, like its engine oil, nuts, bolts and lubricants, which standard policies usually exclude.

  • Tyre Secure: The Maruti Brezza comes with high-quality tyres from reputed brands like MRF, CEAT and Bridgestone, and this add-on covers the cost of eligible accidental damage to its tyres. It can be particularly useful for Brezza owners who drive regularly in cities, where potholes, uneven roads and road debris can often lead to accidental damage to the tyres.

  • Key Replacement: Covers the cost of replacing lost or stolen keys, or changing the locks. This is worth having on a Brezza, since the smart key used with its keyless entry and push-button start is far costlier to replace than a basic key.

  • Daily Allowance: Provides a daily allowance during eligible repairs to help with alternative travel expenses. It can be particularly useful for Brezza owners who rely on their car for daily commutes and don't have another vehicle to fall back on while it's at the garage.

Give your Brezza a cover that fits the way you drive.

How to File a Maruti Brezza Car Insurance Claim

Cashless Claim

  1. After ensuring everyone’s safety, inform TATA AIG as soon as possible by -

Or use the claims portal or mobile app, or visit a branch office. A dedicated claim handler will assist you and provide a Claim Reference Number, which you can use to get updates on your claim and connect with your claims handler for assistance.

  1. Once your claim is registered, you will receive details of nearby network garages on your phone. Take your Brezza to the nearest cashless garage.

  2. A surveyor will inspect the damage. Do not start repairs before the survey/approval.

  3. After inspecting the damage, the surveyor will submit a report to us. They will usually carry out three inspections: before repairs, during repairs, and after the repairs are completed. Repairs can begin after you get initial approval for the pre-repair inspection.

  4. TATA AIG settles the approved amount directly with the garage. You only pay applicable deductibles, depreciation and non-covered expenses.

Reimbursement Claim

  1. If your car gets damaged, inform TATA AIG through its available claim channels and register your claim.
  1. A surveyor will inspect the damage. Wait for the surveyor's inspection. Do not start repairs before the survey. If a claim is not possible at a cashless garage, you can get your Brezza repaired at a non-network garage.

  2. Settle the garage bill yourself and retain the required bills and receipts.

  3. Send the requested documents to TATA AIG. Missing documents or invoices can delay processing.

  4. Reimbursement is processed within 7 days of receiving all required documents, through NEFT. The approved amount may be lower than the repair bill due to deductibles, depreciation or exclusions.

Documents Required for Maruti Brezza Insurance Claim

Keep these documents ready when filing a claim for your Maruti Brezza. Once you register your claim, we’ll tell you if any additional documents are needed.

  • Duly filled and signed claim form
  • Registration certificate (RC) of the Brezza
  • Valid driving licence, identity and address proof
  • FIR or police report, where applicable
  • Copy of car policy
  • Photos or videos showing the vehicle damage
  • Original repair bills and payment receipts for reimbursement claims
  • Original car keys for theft claims

  • RTO Forms 28, 29 and 30, for theft and total loss claims only. Once the claim is settled, ownership of the car or its salvage passes to TATA AIG, and these transfer forms complete that handover. Not required for repair claims.
  • Financier NOC if the Brezza is under an active loan or hypothecation
  • Medical bills or documents for applicable personal-accident or third-party injury claims

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I reduce the Brezza insurance cost?

iconDown

To reduce your Maruti Brezza car insurance price, maintain your NCB, pick add-ons that match how you drive, and consider a voluntary deductible if you're comfortable covering minor repairs yourself.

Can I transfer my Brezza insurance to a new owner?

iconDown

Yes, if you sell your Brezza, you can transfer the car insurance policy to the new owner. The transfer should happen as soon as ownership changes hands. Reach out to our customer support team, and we'll guide you through the entire process.

What factors affect Maruti Brezza insurance price?

iconDown

Your car's age and current IDV, which variant you drive (petrol, CNG or turbo), your claim history and NCB, where you're based, any aftermarket tweaks, and the add-ons you've picked affect your Maruti Brezza insurance cost.

Does Maruti Brezza insurance cover damage to a CNG kit after an accident?

iconDown

Yes, if your Brezza is a factory-fitted CNG variant, the CNG kit is covered as part of the vehicle. However, if you add a CNG kit after purchasing the car, you must declare it and cover it under a CNG/LPG kit endorsement.

Is Zero Depreciation cover useful for an older Maruti Brezza?

iconDown

Yes, for a Brezza up to 10 years old, Zero Depreciation can be a useful add-on. Zero Depreciation cover reduces depreciation deductions on eligible replaced parts.

Does the Brezza automatic variant have different insurance considerations?

iconDown

Not necessarily, but some automatic variants may have a higher value, which can affect your premium and IDV. If you want more protection, add-ons such as Zero Depreciation and Engine Secure can help cover additional repair costs.

Should I claim insurance for minor damage to my Maruti Brezza or pay for repairs myself?

iconDown

For minor repairs, paying out of pocket may be better, especially since a claim could affect your NCB. However, if you have an NCB Protection add-on, it can help you retain your NCB after an eligible claim.
