New Traffic Rules in Noida
After the release of the revised Motor Vehicles Act of 2019, there has been a significant increase in traffic fines across a majority of states, including Uttar Pradesh.
Not only have the fines increased, but the Traffic Management Department is also planning to take strict action against violations such as spitting tobacco on the roads or public spaces, not carrying an insurance certificate, and more.
With that being said, it is very important to stay aware of the traffic regulations and adhere to them in order to avoid fines and legal consequences.

-Wear Seatbelts: When driving a car on the public roads of Noida, both the driver as well as the passenger(s) should wear a seatbelt. Doing so not only helps you avoid getting fined but also keeps you and your passengers safe.
-Avoid Using Mobile Phone When Driving: Texting or calling while driving is one of the most common reasons behind devastating road accidents. Many people even end up losing their lives because of this nasty habit. But not any more. If you are found using a mobile phone or any other device while driving in Noida, you will instantly be issued an e-challan with significant fines.
-Stay Within the Permitted Speed Limit: Every driver should understand that the speed limit boards are installed on the roads for some reason. Always keep in mind that following these speed limit signs is not an option but mandatory. Thus, always driving within the allowed speed limit.
-Carry Required Documents: Apart from a valid driving licence, it is mandatory for every driver in Noida to carry other documents such as a motor insurance certificate, vehicle RC, PUC certificate, vehicle fitness certificate (for commercial vehicles) and a few more. Not carrying these documents can lead to fines ranging from ₹500 to ₹10,000.
-No Drinking and Driving: Noida traffic police are very strict regarding drunk driving incidents. If you are caught drunk while driving your vehicle, strict legal action will be taken against you, besides the issuance of a drink-and-drive fine in Noida. Not just the fines, you might also have to spend a night behind bars.
-Avoid Parking in “No Parking Zone”: If you don’t already know, you can not park your vehicle at random spaces. Doing so will result in a heavy no-parking fine in Noida. Thus, you should always park in the designated parking areas.
