Going to a country where your belongings and physical safety will be at risk is not a good idea. Indians can get a Cambodian visa quite easily and within three days. The eligibility criteria for getting a Cambodian visa, only require Indians to have the right set of documents in place and apply for the correct visa. In Cambodia, two types of visas are available — Visa T and Visa E. There is no difference in the duration of both visa types. Both visas are valid for 3 months and allow a single-entry stay period of 30 days. Anyone wanting to extend their stay and visa validity has to contact the department of immigration in Phnom Penh. Visa T is for tourists, and visa E is for people wanting to go to Cambodia for business, employment, and the like. Even diplomats and officials on a diplomatic visit/ mission must abide by the same visa rules applicable to everyone else.

Visa E is for business and employment, you need to submit additional requested important documents, more than those required in Visa T.

In both visa types, you have to submit documents like:

• Passport valid for a minimum of six months from the date of arrival in Cambodia

• Valid credit card (master card/ visa card)/ bank statement to show proof of bearing expenses in Cambodia and returning to India.

• The visa fees are USD 30$ + 6$ for processing for visa T, which approximately equates to INR 2,800. For visa E, the visa fee is USD$ + 7$, which equates to INR 3,400 approx. You must also have a registered email address and mobile number. Once you pay the visa fees and complete the application process, you will receive an approval letter within 3 days. The application process is 100% digital and is mentioned in detail below. Cambodia has no lengthy interview or verification procedure for giving Indians a visa. Once you get your Cambodian visa, you just have to carry your e-visa certificate to show immigration at the time of departure/ arrival.

Indians are now allowed to enter Cambodia as long as they have the appropriate set of documents in place and their visa. The visa application process for Cambodia is very simple. You can go about the process online through the official Cambodia e-visa website https://www.evisa.gov.kh/ or a trusted agency. Or you can do it offline at the Cambodian consulate in India.

Online process:

You can apply for a Cambodian visa online through the following steps.

• Go to the Application section. Choose the type of visa appropriate for your trip. Cambodia has only two visa types – Visa T and Visa E.

• There is not much difference in both visa types except that in Visa E, you need to submit the requested documents like:

• Letter of invitation

• Letter of employment

• Letter of sponsorship

• Letter of labour contract

• In both visa types, you have to submit documents like:

• After you complete the payment, you will receive an approval letter within 3 days.

• There is no lengthy interview or verification procedure. Once you receive your approval letter, you just have to carry your e-visa certificate to show immigration at the time of departure/ arrival.

Offline process:

• The online process of an application takes a few minutes, but if you want to apply for the Cambodia visa in person, you can visit the only Cambodian consulate in Delhi, India. The address is New Delhi, W-112, Greater Kailash Part II, 110048, India. However, in-person applications are not necessary and are usually reserved for diplomats on diplomatic missions.
