Courtesy Visa: Individuals holding Indian Diplomatic, Official, and Service passports and required to visit the country for official purposes can apply for this visa type. Individuals applying for this visa need not make a fee payment.

East African Tourist Visa: If you plan to visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya, you can apply for an East African tourist visa. The governments of these three countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2014 to issue a single tourism visa. Like the Schengen visa, an East Africa visa sticker will be issued upon entry to Kenya. The validity of this visa is 3 months.

Multiple Entry Visa: Individuals intending to visit Kenya multiple times, like businesspeople, may apply for this visa. These visa applications are referred to the Director of Immigration Services for approval, and the visa is granted for 6 months or 1 year.

• Passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of departure from the country. Also, at least 3 continuous blank pages must be in your passport.

• Return air tickets

Kenya family visit visa for Indians:

• Invitation Letter from family or friends.

• Government documents like the identity card, passport or alien card of the host

• Return air ticket indicating the date, place of arrival and departure, flight details etc.

• Apart from the single entry visa, Indians can also apply for an East Africa tourist visa if planning to visit Uganda and Rwanda along with Kenya.

Kenya visa requirements for Indian citizens for East Africa tourist visas are:

• A valid passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date of return and 3 continuous blank pages

• One coloured recent as per the required specifications

• Proof of accommodation like confirmed hotel bookings

• Flight confirmation schedule indicating date and place of departure and arrival, flight number etc.

• Once the account is created, select the "Get-Service" option on the Directorate of Immigration Services tab.

• In the "Our Service" option, select "e-visa Application".

• An application form will appear on the screen. Fill out the Kenya application form.

• After successful payment processing, you will receive an email or SMS notification on your registered contact number every time your application changes its status.

• Then click "Submit".

The Kenya visa fee for Indian adults is $51 for a single-entry visa and $101 for a multiple-entry visa. Children aged 16 years and below are exempted from visa payments. Single-entry visas for tourism, family visits, business or medical purposes have the same processing fee.
