Transit Visa: The transit visa is issued to Indian nationals for the sole reason of transit, wherein the stay cannot exceed 72 hours. This single-use visa does not allow you to leave the international transit area at the airport.

Courtesy Visa: Individuals holding Indian Diplomatic, Official, and Service passports and required to visit the country for official purposes can apply for this visa type. Individuals applying for this visa need not make a fee payment.

East African Tourist Visa: If you plan to visit Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya, you can apply for an East African tourist visa. The governments of these three countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2014 to issue a single tourism visa. Like the Schengen visa, an East Africa visa sticker will be issued upon entry to Kenya. The validity of this visa is 3 months.

Multiple Entry Visa: Individuals intending to visit Kenya multiple times, like businesspeople, may apply for this visa. These visa applications are referred to the Director of Immigration Services for approval, and the visa is granted for 6 months or 1 year.

Kenya Visa Requirements for Indian Citizens: Documents Required for Application

If you wish to travel to Kenya for any reason, whether tourism or business, ensure you have all the required documents. When applying for a Kenya visa for Indian passport holders, firstly, you must know the type of visa to be applied for. You must apply for a single entry visa for tourism or business purposes. However, the documents required may vary depending on the intention of the visit.

Standard Kenya visa requirements for Indian citizens:

  • Passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of departure from the country. Also, at least 3 continuous blank pages must be in your passport.

  • Recent passport-size photographs, which must be taken within the last 6 months. The photographs must be in colour and according to the requirements of the country's visa guidelines.

  • The flight itinerary is the return ticket mentioning the date of arrival and departure, place, flight number, etc.

Kenya business visa for Indians:

  • Return air tickets

  • Invitation Letter from a company in Kenya or any business invite

  • Copy of your company ID card

  • Copy of registration or incorporation certificate of the company

  • Return air ticket with details of entry, exit, place, etc.

Kenya family visit visa for Indians:

  • Invitation Letter from family or friends.

Visa Application Procedure for Kenya Visa for Indians

How to Check Status for Kenya Visa for Indians?

The Kenya visa fee for Indian adults is $51 for a single-entry visa and $101 for a multiple-entry visa. Children aged 16 years and below are exempted from visa payments.
