Applying for a Passport in Haryana
An Indian Passport is a government-issued document for individuals who wish to travel internationally for any reason. You can apply for a booklet with 36 pages or a booklet with 60 pages; both have different fees.
Both booklets are valid for 10 years from the date of issuance. Every Indian citizen requires a passport if they want to travel internationally; it acts as their identification card in a foreign nation.
There are various types of passports issued by the Indian government; here are the details.
-Blue Passport: A blue passport or ordinary passport is the most common type of passport that is issued to all citizens of India. It is navy blue, which can be easily identified. The blue passport can be used for international trips or business trips.
-White Passport: A white passport is a rare passport which is issued to only individuals who are representing the Indian government in official business. The application procedure of this white process differs from the regular blue passport. Moreover, the holders of white passports can exercise some special powers in addition to regular rules and regulations.
-Maroon Passport: A maroon passport is a diplomatic passport issued to Indian diplomats, top-ranking government officials and diplomatic couriers. Government officials like IPS and IAS can apply for diplomatic passports.
The application process for this passport is distinct from that of other passports, and immigration is easier with a Maroon passport as no legal action can be taken against a diplomatic person travelling internationally.
